Tannin Food Intolerance – Welcome

I have created this website to increase awareness of Tannin Food Intolerance, and show you how you can easily find out if you are intolerant to tannin using a two day tannin elimination diet.

It is generally well-known that certain foods and drinks are high in tannin.  Red wine, coffee, tea, chocolate, berries, and spices can trigger migraines and headaches in some people. However, many other foods and drinks with lower amounts of tannin can also cause these symptoms and/or mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, and phobias.

I have suffered from tannin food intolerance for most of my life. I wish to share what I have learned in order to help others avoid the debilitating physical and mental symptoms that can be caused by tannin.

Unlike other websites that give only a brief description of tannin intolerance to foods HIGH in tannin, I will be giving a more in-depth explanation of intolerance to ALL foods  (with a few exceptions) that contain tannin.
